This course forms part of the Rescue Snorkeller course but can be taken at any stage prior to this as

long as the prerequisites are met.

PREREQUISITES FOR CANDIDATES

1. Candidates must be a registered Snorkeller with C.F.T.

2. Minimum age for practical oxygen administration allowed is 12 years. This is a restriction on the

use of cylinders containing pressurised oxygen.

3. Have written consent of parent or guardian if under 18 years of age.

PREREQUISITES FOR INSTRUCTORS

Instructors need to hold a Diver Medic Instructor certificate.

COURSE OUTLINE

The course comprises of a series of lectures and practical work. It is designed to be completed in one

day, but can be given as appropriate to different age groups. At the end of the course there will be a

short written test. Each student is required to demonstrate proficiency in the practical techniques.

This will be assessed throughout the practical sessions.

The following numbers must be adhered to ?

Maximum student to Instructor ratio is 12:1.

Maximum student to mannequin ratio is 6:1.

Maximum student to oxygen unit ration is 6:1.

Overall maximum number of students per course is 18.
