Scuba Diving Ireland

Welcome to the True Blue Sub-Aqua Club

The Sub-Aqua club is based in Dublin and is affiliated to the Irish Underwater Council (CFT) which is in turn a member of the world diving organisation CMAS.

What is Scuba Diving
SCUBA is an acronym for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus" a diving mode which is independent of surface supply. To stay underwater for long periods of time for recreational diving is why scuba diving is one of the fastest growing sports in Ireland today.

Scuba Training
Because of the nature of the sport it is essential that you are properly trained before your first open water dive. There are a number of scuba diving (sub-aqua) courses to choose from, see our courses page.

There are certain requirements before joining a scuba diving (sub Aqua) club. A medical examination is required, therefore consult your GP before making the decision to join. Follow this link for a full diving course outline.
